Swirled Away!

Camping in Keyhole provided it's entertainment!  After an adequate dinner of chicken breasts, summer squash, and asparagus cooked over the open fire on a grill, we quickly cleaned up and piled into the tent.  Without a functioning Colman lantern...our filaments broke....darkness sweeps the day away without apology.  Night writes her own rules, the first of which is don't stray far from the fire....

John doused the fire, hopped over several sleeping bagged children and settled in...we prayed a decade into the darkness, our prayers rising along the trunks of the pines, traveling out pine needles in every direction, God's direction.

Rebekah and Kirstin hear footprints, "shriek"!!! Several kids sprint towards tent walls!  I "shhh" them.  Ben has fallen asleep beside me on the tent floor, snuggled within his REI blue kid's-bag.  John departsFinally all quiet
